Some of the most effective interventions include:
- Aerobic exercise training, which has been shown to improve vascular smooth muscle cell relaxation, reduce oxidant stress and inflammation, and increase nitric oxide bioavailability [ 1 ]
- Dietary changes, such as reduced sodium intake, which can help reduce pulse wave velocity and improve arterial stiffness [ 1 ]
- Certain medications, such as ACE inhibitors, ARBs, and CCBs, which have been shown to reduce arterial stiffness and wave reflections, and improve cardiovascular outcomes [ 1 ] In contrast, the Z-bend cardiovascular technique is not a recognized or evidence-based method for improving cardiovascular health, and its potential benefits and risks are unknown. Therefore, it is recommended that individuals focus on established and evidence-based interventions to improve their cardiovascular health, rather than unproven techniques like the Z-bend cardiovascular method.
