In a 65‑year‑old man with de novo alcoholic cirrhosis (previously ~6 beers/day, stopped in August), mild hepatic encephalopathy, MELD (Model for End‑Stage Liver Disease) score 17, elevated IgG, IgA, IgM, high ferritin and transferrin saturation, and negative hepatitis B and C serologies, could non‑alcoholic causes—particularly autoimmune hepatitis—be contributing to his cirrhosis?

Andere mogelijke bijdragende oorzaken

Te overwegen:

Behandelconsequenties

Immunosuppressieve therapie is NIET geïndiceerd zonder bewezen AIH 1.
