Administration Guidelines
Proper Technique:
- Patient should lie with affected ear upward
- For middle ear infections: After instilling drops, gently press the tragus 4 times to help medication pass through the hole/tube in the eardrum 1
- For ear canal infections: Gently pull the outer ear upward and backward to allow drops to flow down the canal 1
- Remain lying with the treated ear up for at least 5 minutes 1
