Single Most Likely Diagnosis
- Tinea cruris (Jock itch): This is a common fungal infection in the groin area, including the penis, characterized by a flaky, itchy rash. It's prevalent in warm, moist environments and is often seen in individuals who wear tight clothing.
Other Likely Diagnoses
- Psoriasis: While less common on the penis than other areas, psoriasis can cause a flaky, scaly rash. The presence of psoriasis on other body parts and the characteristic silvery scales can aid in diagnosis.
- Eczema (Dermatitis): Eczema can manifest as a flaky rash on the penis, especially in individuals with a history of atopic dermatitis or contact dermatitis.
- Candidiasis (Yeast infection): This fungal infection can cause a red, itchy, flaky rash on the penis, particularly in uncircumcised men or those with diabetes.
Do Not Miss Diagnoses
