How to Use Effer-K (Potassium Supplement)

Dosing Instructions
Standard Dosing
- Single dose limit: Maximum 20 mEq per single dose
- Daily dosing:
- Prevention of hypokalemia: Typically 20 mEq per day
- Treatment of potassium depletion: 40-100 mEq per day
- Doses above 20 mEq per day should be divided into multiple administrations 1
Administration Method
- Dissolve the effervescent tablet completely in 4-8 ounces (120-240 mL) of cold water or juice
- Take with or immediately after meals to minimize stomach irritation
- Drink the entire solution immediately after the tablet has fully dissolved

Monitoring
- Potassium levels should be checked:
