  • Do not crush or split the tablets 1
  • Timing flexibility: Erleada can be taken at any time of day, with or without meals 1
  • Concurrent therapy required: Patients must also receive a GnRH analog concurrently or have had bilateral orchiectomy 1

Alternative Administration Methods

For Patients Who Cannot Swallow Tablets Whole

If you cannot swallow tablets whole, disperse the tablets in non-carbonated water and mix with orange juice, applesauce, or additional water: 1

For 240 mg tablet:

  • Place the whole tablet in a cup (do not crush or split) 1
  • Add 2 teaspoons (10 mL) of non-carbonated water to completely immerse the tablet 1
  • Wait 2 minutes until the tablet breaks up and spreads out, then stir 1
  • Add 2 tablespoons (30 mL) of orange juice, applesauce, or additional water and stir 1
  • Swallow the mixture immediately 1
  • Rinse the cup with water to ensure the full dose is taken and drink immediately 1

For 60 mg tablets (any prescribed dose):

  • Place all prescribed tablets in a cup (do not crush or split) 1
  • Add 4 teaspoons (20 mL) of non-carbonated water to completely immerse the tablets 1
  • Follow the same steps as above for waiting, stirring, mixing, and rinsing 1

Critical warning: Do not store Erleada mixed with water, orange juice, or applesauce for later use 1

Erleada can be administered through feeding tubes 8 French or larger: 1

For 240 mg tablet:

  • Use at least a 20 mL syringe 1
  • Place the tablet in the syringe barrel and draw up 10 mL of non-carbonated water 1
  • Wait 10 minutes, then shake vigorously to disperse completely 1
  • Administer immediately through the feeding tube 1
  • Refill with water and flush; repeat until no residue remains 1

For 60 mg tablets:

  • Use at least a 50 mL syringe 1
  • Place all prescribed tablets in the syringe barrel and draw up 20 mL of non-carbonated water 1
  • Follow the same steps as above for waiting, shaking, administering, and flushing 1

Storage Requirements

Common Pitfalls to Avoid
