Dosage of Sucralfate

The dosage of Sucralfate (Sucrafil) is as follows:

• 1g four times a day, one hour before meals and at bedtime 2
• 2g twice a day, one-half hour before breakfast and at night 3, 4
• 2g daily given prophylactically to decrease the rate of recurrence of duodenal ulcers 5
• 2g at night as a maintenance dose in the long-term management of patients with gastric or duodenal ulcer disease 6
